About Us

Average Joe films is a film and video production company that has been serving the greater Cincinnati area for a decade. 

While in college at Cincinnati State, J.W. Cox or "Joe" started freelancing for other video production companies and small businesses, which led him to opportunities to do work for The Cincinnati Reds, The Cincinnati Bengals, Victoria’s Secret, Pepsi, and Fifth Third Bank. With this experience in hand Joe founded Average Joe Films.

Average Joe Films has gone on to produce award winning narrative short films, produce brand work with many companies, and document hundreds of weddings. 

People always ask why we would use the word “Average” in our name, and we have an answer! Our mission is to provide high-quality productions, while combining humor, wit and integrity.

You won't find Hollywood here, only good guys, with the skills to tell your story, in a high quality visual format. We don't believe that the west coast has a complete claim on high quality productions. You can access it right here, but with Midwestern hospitality.
